We invite you to make yourself at home at The Runholder, the landmark destination of Wairarapa’s boutique wine village, Martinborough. The Runholder is a unique venue to host and cater your next big event, private party or corporate function.
Nestled between vineyard rows and the edge of the Martinborough Terrace, The Runholder is a spectacular location for your event.
The stunning architectural design of the Restaurant & Tasting Room is a warm & elegant space for you to present, workshop, relax and dine, while our subterranean barrel hall, vineyards and knowledgeable hosts provide opportunities for breakaways and activities.
Feast on a menu celebrating local Wairarapa produce complemented by the wines of Te Kairanga & Martinborough Vineyard, or see the distiller at work in the distillery while enjoying a Lighthouse Gin & Tonic.

A dedicated and knowledgable host will guide your group through a tasting flight of iconic regional wines.
Small groups (up to 14 people) will be seated in our Private Dining Room with panoramic views over the Martinborough Terrace, while larger groups can be hosted in our spacious Tasting Room (bar stools & standing).

Exclusive access to The Runholder Tasting Room, Restaurant, carpark and helipad for your special event or conference, for up to 100 people. Includes use of screen, microphones and sound system.

The Runholder hosts a small number of wedding receptions (up to 100 people) in our restaurant each year, with the option to hold your ceremony in our Te Kairanga cottage.
We offer a family style dinner, priced per head with the option to add on Canapés. Te Kairanga and Martinborough Vineyard wines, Lighthouse Gin and beer are available as per our beverage list.
