The Runholder & the NZSO present ‘Last Leaf’

Sunday 2nd June

The Runholder is excited to welcome a string quintet of NZSO players to perform contemporary classical album Last Leaf, followed by a three-course culinary feast by The Runholder Head Chef, Tim Smith. The 50 minute performance includes short tunes which are mysterious, ethereal and folky. Last Leaf is a fascinating and successful attempt to translate Nordic folklore into the sound world of classical music.

Concert-goers will be welcomed with Te Kairanga wines in the Tasting Room upon arrival. The concert will then follow in the main dining room, it’s high cathedral-like Scandi architecture serving as the perfect backdrop for the delicate folk sounds of Last Leaf. Concert- goers will sip, listen and enjoy a shared platter entrée as they watch the performance, followed by a feast celebrating autumnal Wairarapa produce, paired with a selection of wines from
Te Kairanga’s cellar. Dessert will follow, concluding the evening.

From 5.30pm - 10.00pm

$110 per person (plus transaction fees) via iTicket including a drink upon arrival, concert and three-course dinner. Te Kairanga wines will be available for purchase alongside beer and non-alcoholic beverages.

$10pp to add shuttle transportation from Martinborough, Greytown or Featherston.

Sunday Roast

Every Sunday until June

Sunday Roast is a relaxed affair and instead of our normal menu we will be offering a shared three course set menu at $60 per person. Every Sunday until June we’ll have a different roast main on offer. There will be plenty of food and we recommend settling in with a glass of Pinot and doing as little as possible in the afternoon.

From 12pm - 6pm

$60 per person for a three-course Sunday Roast served with all the trimmings.

Sunday 7th April - Free-range Porchetta
Sunday 14th April - Bostock’s Chicken Roast
Sunday 21st April - Slow Roasted Speckled Park Beef Sirloin
Sunday 28th April - Lamb Rump Roast
Sunday 5th May - Roasted Pork Belly

Ladies Lunch

Every Thursday & Friday in May

A great excuse to gather the girls (or guys!) together for two delicious set-menu courses and a glass of wine.

From 12pm-3pm.

Start with warm Clareville sourdough, smoked kahawai & pickles, and kumara hummus, followed by your main choice of crisp skin market fish with leek, fennel, lemon and capers or pan fried Agria gnocchi, butternut pumpkin, sage & peppered Pecorino.

$49 per person for two-course set menu and glass of wine (choice of Martinborough Vineyard Te Tera Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Gris, or Te Kairanga Estate Pinot Noir).
